Contrast handoff: give designers a fixable color pair

A useful contrast handoff names the component, state, theme, foreground and background values, measured ratio, and target criterion. Include a screenshot only when it helps locate the element; the numeric pair is what lets another person reproduce the finding. If the background is translucent or patterned, explain how the effective color was sampled. Suggest one tested alternative color, but leave room for design review across all states. Mark what was tested and what remains unchecked.
