Back up a representative folder with Duplicati, including many small files, a large file, and a changing document. Restore an older version to a clean directory and compare checksums and metadata. Then simulate lost local configuration and confirm you can recover with the credentials and backup destination you kept separately.
Review schedule, retention, encryption key custody, and alerting for failed jobs. A successful backup log does not prove that the right version can be restored under pressure.
