Desktop publishing is judged at the printer, not only on screen. In Scribus, lay out a short brochure with bleed, images, different text styles, and a special character or non-Latin font.
Set page size and color profile for the intended printer. Use preflight checks, export the requested PDF standard, and inspect it in a second viewer. Ask the printer to verify trim, bleed, embedded fonts, image resolution, and spot colors before production. The Scribus documentation is useful for version-specific layout and export options.
Compare alternatives on typography, linked asset handling, collaboration, and how quickly a late price or copy change can be applied. Keep source images and fonts organized with the project. A printable PDF is the acceptance test; a good-looking on-screen proof can still fail in press.
