Tiled is a map editor, but the deliverable is the map your game can load and maintain. A replacement should be tested with a small level containing several tile layers, collision shapes, object properties, and an external tileset.
Export the map and load it in the actual game build. Check coordinates, layer order, animations, custom properties, and path resolution after moving the project to another machine. Edit one tileset and verify that old maps update safely. Compare editor speed only after the runtime pipeline works.
Tiled's export documentation lists multiple formats. Select the one your loader supports and keep source maps under version control. A flattened image is useful for preview but cannot replace an editable tile map.
