A task app migration can look successful while quietly dropping recurrence or reminders. Before replacing Tasks.org, test the information that makes a task actionable, not just its title.
Create a small list with a repeating task, a dated task, a subtask, a note, and a reminder. Synchronize it through your intended provider, then edit from a second device and check whether due dates, completion state, and recurrence survive. Tasks.org's synchronization guide notes that not every task field is portable to every third-party service.
If you use CalDAV, test a real account and client combination rather than assuming protocol support means feature parity. Export or back up your list, disconnect one device, edit on both sides, and verify conflict handling after reconnecting. Include notification reliability and accessibility in the comparison. Keep the original app available until the migrated list survives a full recurrence cycle.
