Verify that each state reaches your order system exactly once and that settlement reports reconcile to the provider records.
Payment routing can improve resilience, but it adds configuration and incident paths. Document how you will disable a bad route, handle provider outages, and keep sensitive data out of logs. Do not move live volume until reversals and reconciliation work.
