CSV conversion is not just replacing commas with JSON punctuation. Confirm the delimiter, encoding, header row, quote rules, and whether a field may contain a newline. Decide which columns are strings, numbers, or dates before conversion; postal codes and identifiers often must remain strings.
Use the CSV to JSON converter with a small representative sample first. Reject duplicate headers and rows with unexpected column counts, then compare the number of input records with output objects. Choose a policy for empty cells rather than letting the parser guess. If you later open the data in a spreadsheet, guard against cells that begin with formula characters. Keep a copy of the source for auditing.
