Making barcode labels scan reliably

Use the barcode symbology your system expects, and preserve the exact identifier, including leading zeros. Print with strong contrast, adequate quiet space, and no stretching.

Test a label at final size with the actual scanner and application. Verify the decoded value on screen, not merely a beep. If labels will face wear, try one under the expected lighting and handling conditions before printing a batch.
