A one-page sample can test PDF compression if it includes the detail most at risk: small text, thin lines, a photo, or a scanned signature. Compress it and compare side by side at a realistic viewing size and at zoom. Also test whether text remains selectable. A blank or simple vector page may compress perfectly while the real document suffers. Keep the sample free of confidential material and retain the original for reference.
