Import a single month of transactions into Firefly III with transfers, recurring bills, refunds, and a split purchase. Reconcile balances against statements and check whether budgets and reports reflect the transactions as expected.
Personal finance data deserves strong backups and restricted access, particularly in self-hosted setups. Keep original statements, test export and restore, and correct mapping errors before importing more history. The useful measure is trustworthy account balances, not the number of charts.
