Build a small semantic model in Cube for a metric several dashboards use. Query it from two clients and compare totals, filters, and time-zone behavior with an independent SQL calculation. Test caching and what happens when the underlying data changes.
A semantic layer helps when it removes conflicting definitions, but access rules and refresh timing must be explicit. Version the model and document ownership of each measure before moving reports to it.
