Converting a Word document to PDF can stabilize its appearance for sharing, but fonts, page breaks, tables, and links may shift during export.
Use a document with headings, a table, a hyperlink, and a long page. Open the resulting PDF in a second viewer and compare every page with the source. Check the page count, text selection, link targets, and whether the final line or signature has moved. Keep the editable Word file for corrections.
A successful download only proves that a file was created. It does not prove the layout or accessibility survived.
