Choose when to buy electronics with a target price

The cheapest date is not always the cheapest ownership decision. Compare the outgoing model's remaining security-update window, battery age, repairability, warranty start and accessory cost with the successor's improvements. Clearance stock can disappear before a new model creates a discount, and launch promotions can make the newer model unexpectedly competitive. Set a target from price history, then buy when the device meets the required lifespan and features rather than waiting indefinitely for a theoretical minimum.
