A JSON validation workflow should separate syntax errors from schema or business-rule failures. Parse only within configured size and nesting limits, then validate required fields and types. Send successful structured data to the next step; pretty-printing is useful for people but should not replace the parsed object.
On failure, return a safe error code, JSON path when possible, and correlation ID. Do not echo a full payload that may contain secrets. Define what to do with duplicate keys and malformed Unicode so callers are not surprised by silent changes. Test an empty body, a deeply nested value, and a wrong field type before relying on the pipeline.
