This workflow reads an RSS feed and sends new entries to a Discord channel. Store a stable item identifier or canonical link so each poll can distinguish new entries from ones already delivered. Advance the checkpoint only after Discord accepts the message; otherwise a temporary failure can silently drop an item.
Normalize titles and links before posting, escape or disable mentions, and cap message length. Honour conditional feed requests when available and back off from rate limits. Test an unchanged feed, a corrected article, and a malformed item. A review path for bad entries is better than blocking all later updates or flooding the channel with duplicates.
