Import a small set of notes into Joplin with attachments, tags, links, and long-form Markdown. Edit them on two devices, including an offline change, then observe synchronization and conflict handling. Export the notes and confirm attachments and internal links survive.
If encryption matters, enable it during the pilot and rehearse adding a new device and restoring from backup. Choose a notes app by how reliably it preserves your knowledge under ordinary mistakes, not by how clean an empty notebook looks.
