Trim the moment to a short loop before converting. Set dimensions for the place it will appear and preview at that size. GIF can become very large and has limited colors; a short video may preserve detail and audio more efficiently when the platform supports it.
Use video to GIF for a small silent demonstration or reaction. Inspect the exported file for timing, color banding, text readability, and whether the loop jumps awkwardly. Keep the original clip in case you need a different format.
Choose the format for the viewer, not just because the converter is available.
