Making a QR code reliable on a printed sign

Design for the viewing distance and print material, not just the digital mockup. Use strong contrast, a clear quiet zone, and enough physical size for an ordinary phone to scan comfortably.

Print a proof, test it under the lighting where the sign will hang, and verify the destination domain. Do not stretch the code to fit a layout. Add a short visible label so people know what scanning opens.
