Print one proof at the final size, on the intended material, and scan it from the expected distance. Test with more than one phone and ordinary lighting.

Confirm the decoded destination, not just whether the camera recognizes a code. Leave quiet space around it and avoid stretching the image or placing it across folds. Keep a copy of the final approved artwork so the batch matches the tested proof.
