Reporting a search outage without calling the whole site down

Open a known page directly, then try the same item through search. If navigation and direct pages work but search errors or returns empty results, describe the problem as search-specific.

Note the query, filters, app or browser, approximate time, and whether autocomplete behaves differently. Use a public test term rather than private titles. Check official status and another session if practical, but do not assume one successful page proves every service is healthy.
