Move one representative build to Jenkins in a test environment. Include dependency installation, tests, artifacts, secrets, and a failed deployment. Check how easily a developer can understand the failure and rerun only what is safe to rerun.
Inventory required plugins and agents, then test an upgrade and restore of controller configuration. Jenkins can fit complex workflows, but plugin compatibility and maintenance are part of the cost. Keep pipeline definitions versioned and document who owns credentials and infrastructure before migrating more jobs.
