Fava

Fava provides a web interface for Beancount-style ledger data. Open a small representative journal, inspect account balances, income, expenses, and transactions, then compare those views with the source entries and an external statement. Make a correction and confirm the report updates as expected.

Keep the journal file as the auditable source of truth and back it up separately from the web interface. Decide who can access financial data and how remote access is secured. A pleasant dashboard is useful only when the underlying books reconcile.
