A weekly report can be wrong even when its chart looks plausible. Reconcile the sample number with the underlying records, date range, timezone, filters, and definition of the metric. Check whether a partial week, duplicate row, delayed import, or changed query explains the difference.
Pause distribution until the mismatch is understood. Correct the calculation or annotate the limitation, then compare a second week and a known control total. If an earlier report used the same faulty rule, identify readers who may need a correction. Record the changed definition and the owner who reviewed it. The goal is not just a prettier chart but a number someone can reproduce.
