Arduino Cloud organizes variables in a Thing and associates that Thing with a device. Keeping those identities separate makes troubleshooting much clearer.
For the Arduino Cloud IoT entry, trace one harmless sensor value from the physical board to its cloud variable. Record the association and update time. An existing Thing with populated variables is not evidence that the expected board is currently connected or reporting fresh measurements.
