For disease.sh, identify the upstream dataset and observation date before describing a number as current. The project lists its data sources, while the Johns Hopkins dataset stopped collecting updates in March 2023.
An endpoint that still returns data is not proof that its source is still updating. Label historical series clearly; live endpoint freshness has not been established here.
