A line sorter should explain its comparison rule
Paste text, select an ordering rule, and inspect the result before copying it into a file. A plain alphabetical sort often compares characters rather than human-language words; punctuation and leading spaces can place lines unexpectedly. Natural sorting treats embedded numbers differently from lexical sorting.
Check stable handling of equal keys, duplicates, blank lines, and a trailing newline. For names in different languages, locale rules may change the order. For machine-generated identifiers, a bytewise sort is usually easier to reproduce. Do not use a generic line sorter on records whose fields must remain grouped together.
