A photo with one clear subject, strong edges, and a simple background makes a more usable coloring page. Crop toward the subject before running image to coloring page; busy shadows and textures can turn into dense lines.
After conversion, inspect the exported file at print size. Are important outlines closed enough to color? Are faces or small details recognizable? If the page is noisy, use a simpler photo or remove background clutter rather than just increasing contrast until everything becomes black.
Keep the original image so you can try a different crop or conversion.
