For Outline Wiki alternatives, export a connected set of documents, not a few isolated pages.
- Keep nested structure, internal links, images, and author attribution.
- Test search for a known procedure and compare result relevance.
- Rebuild team and guest permissions; verify with separate accounts.
- Check revisions, comments, authentication, and backup/export paths.
- Rewrite or redirect old links before removing the existing wiki.
A knowledge base succeeds when people can find trusted instructions. A good editor cannot compensate for broken links or missing access boundaries.
