For Longhorn alternatives, deploy a disposable stateful workload in a representative Kubernetes cluster. Write data, remove a node, recover the volume, and measure application downtime. Test snapshots, backup to external storage, restore into a fresh cluster, upgrades, and capacity alerts. A healthy replica count is not proof that the database can be restored.
