For JuiceFS, copy a representative dataset and run the actual workload against it: many small files, concurrent readers or writers, and a large sequential file if those match your use case. Compare latency, consistency expectations, metadata behavior, and total storage and cache cost with the current filesystem.
Simulate loss of a client or backend connection and verify recovery. Record how object storage, metadata storage, credentials, and backups will be operated. A high benchmark number is not enough if your application depends on file behavior the setup cannot reliably provide.
