Adding two durations is not the same as adding two times of day. A time calculator should make that distinction visible, especially when an interval crosses midnight.
For a simple duration check, 1 hour 45 minutes plus 30 minutes is 2 hours 15 minutes. For a clock-time difference, record the dates as well as the times; 23:30 to 00:30 is either one hour or an ambiguous pair without dates. If the interval spans a daylight-saving change, use a timezone-aware calculation.
Keep units and date context beside the result. A bare 02:15 could mean a clock reading or an elapsed duration.
