About Aspect Ratio Calculator
Aspect ratio describes the proportional relationship between the width and height of an image, video, or screen. Common ratios include 16:9 (widescreen), 4:3 (standard), and 1:1 (square). This tool calculates the simplified ratio from any dimensions and can auto-calculate missing dimensions when one is locked to a specific ratio.
How to Use
Enter width and height to see the calculated ratio. Use preset buttons (16:9, 4:3, etc.) to quickly set a ratio. Lock either width or height, then enter the other value — the locked dimension will auto-calculate to maintain the selected ratio. Copy the ratio with one click.
