Transfer a list of open invoices with their status, due dates, vendor records, purchase references, disputed line items, and pending approvals. The incoming reviewer should know which documents have been checked and which have only been received. Provide access through the finance system, not by forwarding payment credentials.
Ask the new owner to acknowledge the handoff and inspect any imminent or unusual payment first. Preserve the audit trail and avoid changing invoice status merely to clean up the former owner’s queue. If a vendor requests a new payment account during the transition, pause and verify it through an established contact method. A clear owner transition protects both timing and payment integrity.
