Bludit's flat-file approach can make a small site easy to maintain, but a new CMS should be evaluated against the actual published site. Copy a handful of pages that use images, metadata, custom slugs, and any theme-specific elements. Compare their rendered output on desktop and mobile.
Build a URL map before switching domains. Check canonical links, redirects, feeds, and sitemap entries; a polished imported homepage does not help if existing articles return 404. Also test backup and restore of the new system, including media and configuration, with a non-admin editor. Only cut over after the old site can remain available long enough to verify traffic and repair missed paths.
