Http Header Parser

An HTTP header parser can split a request or response into named fields and values. Header names are case-insensitive, and some fields can appear more than once; a simplistic parser may overwrite duplicates or mishandle comma-separated values. Preserve the raw message alongside the parsed output.

Inspect status line or request line separately from headers, then check common fields such as Content-Type, Cache-Control, and Set-Cookie. Redact authorization tokens and cookies before pasting real traffic into any web tool. Header syntax alone does not prove how an application behaved; compare with the body and the actual network exchange when debugging.
