Choose a language track on Exercism and complete several exercises, including one that feels unfamiliar. Read the feedback or mentorship notes, revise the solution, and then solve a related problem without hints. Compare that experience with your learning goal: syntax practice, code review, or project building.
Exercises are excellent for focused practice but may not replace building a complete application. Save revised solutions and note concepts that still need real-world context. Progress is best measured by what you can explain and apply later.
