A linked-note workspace needs a trustworthy sync path as much as a good editor. SiYuan uses block-based documents and stores workspace data in its own format. Test a small knowledge base before moving your notes.
Create several linked pages, a query or backlink view, and attachments. Edit from the devices you intend to use and verify conflicts and recovery. The SiYuan project FAQ explicitly warns against synchronizing its workspace through an arbitrary third-party sync disk because corruption can result; use supported sync or backup methods instead.
Export the sample and inspect text, links, and media outside the app. Restore a backup to a fresh installation and test search again. Compare alternatives on retrieval, portability, privacy, and upkeep. A rich knowledge graph is not useful if the underlying workspace cannot be recovered reliably.
