Whitespace Remover

Extra spaces may be cosmetic in prose, but meaningful in code, Markdown, fixed-width files, or signed text. Decide whether you want to trim edges, collapse repeated spaces, remove blank lines, or delete all whitespace; those are distinct operations.

Test a small input containing indentation, a tab, two blank lines, and a nonbreaking space. Compare exact output characters before applying the setting to a long document. Keep a copy of the original, particularly when whitespace affects parsing or layout.

If you only need to tidy paragraphs, avoid a mode that merges words or removes line breaks indiscriminately.
