A useful question includes the goal, relevant context, an example, and the form of answer you need. “My CSV has quoted commas; how can I convert it to JSON without splitting those fields?” gives the assistant far more to work with than “CSV broken.”
State the device or tool when it affects the answer, explain what you tried, and say what a successful result looks like. If you want a checklist, concise explanation, or comparison, ask for that explicitly. Omit passwords, private records, and unnecessary personal information.
Treat the response as a starting point: verify commands, links, and factual claims before using them on important data.
