Fish Tycoon works as an economy-and-traits problem. Keep a cash reserve before buying eggs or tank upgrades, record which parent pair produced each useful trait, and breed toward demand rather than rarity alone. Tank space is a real constraint: too many low-value fish can block the next experiment and increase upkeep before sales catch up. I would compare several generations under the same conditions before declaring a breeding rule consistent, because one lucky offspring proves little. A lineage notebook inside the game would turn trial and error into learnable strategy.
