Tic Tac Toe
The classic X and O game. Challenge the unbeatable AI or play with a friend!
About Tic Tac Toe
Tic Tac Toe (also known as Noughts and Crosses) is one of the oldest and most well-known strategy games in the world. Two players take turns marking spaces in a 3×3 grid, trying to get three of their marks in a row. Despite its simplicity, the game has deep connections to game theory and artificial intelligence — a perfect game always ends in a draw.
How to Play
Click on any empty cell to place your mark (X). In single-player mode, the computer will respond with O. Get three of your marks in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — to win. In Hard AI mode, the computer uses the minimax algorithm and is unbeatable, so try to force a draw! In 2-player mode, players alternate turns on the same device.
Tips & Strategies
- •Always take the center square if it's available — it gives you the most winning opportunities.
- •If the center is taken, go for a corner — corners are the next best strategic positions.
- •Watch for your opponent creating a 'fork' — two ways to win at once — and block it early.
- •Against the Hard AI, the best you can achieve is a draw — focus on not losing rather than winning.
- •Create your own fork by placing marks that threaten two different lines simultaneously.
