Mobile apps and websites may use different versions, APIs, caches, or sign-in paths. If the app fails while the website works, record the exact action and app version, then try another network or device before concluding it is a global outage.
Check whether an update is available, but avoid signing out if you are unsure you can sign back in. Compare official status and reports from other app users at the same time. If only your account fails, use the service's support channel. Do not share session tokens in a public report.
The distinction is useful evidence, not a complete diagnosis.
