A follow-up often needs enough context to reproduce a problem, not the real identities or secrets in it. Describe the action you took and the result, then replace names, email addresses, tokens, account IDs, and private URLs with consistent placeholders. Preserve relevant structure: if two values must match, use the same placeholder both times.
Before posting, inspect screenshots, logs, links, and copied commands as well as the prose. A URL query string or request header can reveal more than the visible text. If redacting a field changes the behavior, describe its type and format instead of its value. Say which parts are simulated so readers do not mistake examples for production data.
