Open edX Notes is an annotation service, not a complete learning platform. Add notes to a test course at specific passages, then edit or republish the course and see whether those notes still point to the intended content. Check learner permissions and whether private annotations remain private.
Export or back up the records and test a restore before enabling the service for a large cohort. The central question is whether learners can find their notes later without exposing them to other users.
