About Jami
Jami (formerly Ring) is a free, open-source distributed communication platform by Savoir-faire Linux that works without any central server. It uses a Distributed Hash Table (DHT) for peer discovery, supporting voice calls, video calls, instant messaging, and screen sharing across desktop and mobile. Because Jami is serverless, outages are usually caused by DHT bootstrap node issues or local network configurations rather than a central service failure.
