About Pulumi
Pulumi is an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platform that lets teams define, deploy, and manage cloud resources using Python, TypeScript, Go, C#, and other familiar programming languages rather than domain-specific languages. Organizations use Pulumi Cloud for state management, secret storage, audit trails, and collaboration on infrastructure changes across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes. When Pulumi Cloud is down, engineers cannot push infrastructure updates, state files may be inaccessible, and automated CI/CD deployments that depend on Pulumi will fail.
Common Issues
- pulumi up or pulumi preview failing to connect to Pulumi Cloud backend
- State file locked or inaccessible, blocking all stack operations
- Secrets decryption errors preventing stack deployments
- Audit logs or deployment history not loading in the dashboard
- Team permissions or organization settings not saving correctly
Troubleshooting Tips
- 1.Check status.pulumi.com for any active service degradation
- 2.Use a local or S3/Azure Blob/GCS backend as a fallback: pulumi login s3://your-bucket
- 3.If state is locked, use pulumi stack export to inspect and pulumi cancel to force-unlock
- 4.Verify your PULUMI_ACCESS_TOKEN environment variable is valid and not expired
- 5.Check the Pulumi community Slack for workarounds during known outages

About Pulumi Status
About Pulumi Status
This page provides real-time status monitoring for Pulumi. We check availability every 2 minutes using automated probes and official status page integrations, giving you an accurate picture of current service health.
Pulumi is an infrastructure service. We monitor its endpoints, DNS resolution, and API to detect connectivity issues, routing problems, and service degradation.
Common Pulumi Issues
Infrastructure services like Pulumi can experience issues that affect downstream services. Common problems include:
- DNS resolution failures
- SSL/TLS certificate errors
- CDN edge server connectivity issues
- API gateway timeouts
- Network routing problems
- Service configuration propagation delays
How to Check Pulumi Status
- 1Check our status page to confirm Pulumi is experiencing issues
- 2Try clearing your browser cache and cookies
- 3Switch to a different network (e.g. mobile data instead of WiFi)
- 4Restart your router or modem
- 5Try using a VPN to bypass regional issues
Why Use Akousa Status Checker
Akousa provides fast, reliable, and independent service monitoring so you always know when a service is down.
- Automated checks every 2 minutes from distributed probe servers
- Response time measurement and latency trend analysis
- Incident detection with severity classification and timeline tracking
- Community-powered problem reports for additional signal
Common Pulumi Problems
When Pulumi experiences issues, users typically encounter one or more of the following problems. Knowing what to look for helps you determine whether the issue is on your end or a widespread outage.
- Connection timeouts — The service takes too long to respond, often caused by server overload or network congestion between you and Pulumi.
- Slow loading or degraded performance — Pages, feeds, or content load partially or much slower than usual, indicating Pulumi servers are under heavy load.
- Login and authentication failures — Unable to sign in, getting "invalid credentials" errors, or being logged out repeatedly even with correct details.
- Error pages (500, 502, 503) — Pulumi returns server error codes, meaning backend services are failing or undergoing maintenance.
- Regional or partial outages — Pulumi works in some locations but not others, often due to CDN issues or localized infrastructure problems.
What to Do When Pulumi Is Down
If Pulumi appears to be down, follow these steps before assuming a widespread outage. Many issues can be resolved on your end in just a few minutes.
- 1Verify the outageCheck this status page to confirm Pulumi is actually experiencing issues. If our monitors show "operational," the problem may be local to your device or network.
- 2Check your internet connectionTry loading other websites. If nothing loads, restart your router or switch from WiFi to mobile data. A quick speed test can confirm whether your connection is the issue.
- 3Clear cache and cookiesOutdated cached data can cause Pulumi to display errors or fail to load. Clear your browser cache, or try opening Pulumi in an incognito/private window.
- 4Try a different device or networkIf Pulumi works on your phone but not your computer (or vice versa), the issue is likely device-specific. Trying a different network (VPN, mobile hotspot) can bypass ISP-level blocks.
- 5Wait and check backMost Pulumi outages are resolved within 15-60 minutes. Bookmark this page to check back for real-time updates, or enable browser notifications for instant alerts when Pulumi recovers.
