Hyphenated words, contractions, numbers, and languages without spaces may be counted differently by different tools. Check the longest section and the total if both limits exist. Then read the shortened draft: a compliant number is not enough if essential context or caveats were removed. Leave a small margin when the platform's tokenization is unclear.
