Compare a crop with its source using the same orientation and a common display size. Check whether the intended subject is more prominent without losing necessary context. Verify exported pixel dimensions and aspect ratio, and inspect edge details at full resolution for accidental clipping. A smaller file size does not by itself show a better crop. If colors or transparency changed, treat that as a separate export issue and preserve the original for reference.
