When search starts working for some people, report what changed since the first failure. Use one non-sensitive query and record the time, timezone, platform, and broad region for each test. Say whether results are missing, stale, slow, or returning an error; 'works' can mean different things.
Compare the same query on a second account or device if available, and note when it last failed. Do not publish private search terms or exact locations. A useful recovery update identifies which users or surfaces remain affected and whether the result age is improving. That gives operators evidence of a partial recovery instead of a premature all-clear.
