A public example can be useful even before every detail is known, provided its boundaries are clear. Show the smallest input, action, and observed output that demonstrate the issue. Mark unknowns explicitly: “I have not confirmed whether this happens on mobile” is more useful than implying all clients behave alike.
Use fictional values while preserving types, order, and relationships that affect the result. Explain what you expected and which part of the example is representative rather than exact. Avoid building a story around a suspected cause until you have tested it. Ask readers to identify a discriminating check, such as an alternate input or environment, rather than to endorse a guess.
